Bluestar buses have now launched mobile ticketing in and around Southampton, powered by Corethree's innovative mobile platform. This service is available via iPhone and Android devices allowing bus passengers to browse, select and then purchase bus tickets all from the convenience of their own smartphone.
Nikki Honer, Commercial Manager at Bluestar said, "We believe the incentive to pre pay will encourage more people to save time and money for their commuting and leisure travel".
Bluestar will offer incentives for using their mobile service and provide discounts on tickets. Up to 40% can be saved on m-ticket purchases using the mobile technology, and these can be pre-purchased or bought on the day of travel. M-tickets are securely stored on the mobile device and accessed when boarding any Bluestar bus.
The service is available via any mobile network and tickets can be purchased using any debit or credit card, and are stored securely in Corethree mobile wallet. Corethree's m-payment and m-wallet solutions are PCI DSS compliant and Corethree is a Data Protection registered company.
