Transport industry journal Passenger Transport have interviewed two of Corethree's senior executives to hear their insight into hot topics for the public travel infrastructure industry.
The article focuses on smart ticketing adoption and the potential benefits to operators. Speaking to the journal, CEO Ashley Murdoch said, "A lot of our business is on the ticketing side of things, which we’re immensely proud of, but we see it as the tip of a huge iceberg. Ticketing is a perfect first step to get passengers used to smart retailing, and it’s that comfort factor that’s initially crucial. [...] Smartphones are basically becoming, among other things, point-of-sale devices in passengers’ pockets and they are giving operators a window into their journeys and everything around them.".
The article is available in the latest issue of Passenger Transport magazine, and is reproduced on Corethree's own blog, at http://www.corethree.net/blog/2013/april/data-mobile-and-the-future-of-smart-retail.html.
