Watford, September 2016 – Pioneering UK mobile technology business, Corethree, announces today the exponential growth it has seen in the last 12 months, with a record-breaking £1.9 million m-ticket sales in a week – almost double the sales achieved during the same period back in 2015.
This incredible growth comes as a result of approximately a quarter of a million m-tickets sold in that seven-day time frame, which would account for around 1,250,000 passenger journeys via a Corethree system.
Having issued well in excess of 18 million m-tickets since its first deployment back in 2012, Corethree has been building up a solid and reputable client base, including First Group, Go Ahead Group, TfGM and Transport for London, which has resulted in over 4 million total app downloads; a figure which climbs with increasing momentum week by week.
Not only holding the position of the UK's largest m-ticketing provider, Corethree’s proprietary technology platform, Core Engine, has several years’ worth of historical usage data, equipping the business with indispensable industry knowledge and invaluable insight as to the way consumers move and travel around the UK.
The mobile payments specialists, having recently finished the development work, will also be integrating Android Pay across its apps over the next few months, which will see even further streamlining and concision of m-ticketing purchases for consumers and significantly reduced payment fees for vendors.
