Hundreds of applications have been whittled down to 6 candidates, including Corethree, for the customer experience category. This is part of an initiative to improve the experience of passenger and freight customers in the rail industry’s £1 million prize-bearing Customer Experience innovation competition.
The competition forms part of the portfolio of activities to unlock innovation led by the Enabling Innovation Team (EIT) on behalf of the Technical Strategy Leadership Group, for the rail industry to fulfil its 30-year vision for a world-class national rail system, building and deploying the best innovation, technology, people, principles and processes.
Corethree’s competition submission, "Total Passenger Communications", will analyse how passenger sentiment is affected by quality of rail services and based on this, deliver more timely alerts to passengers and suggest alternative routes.
David Clarke, Director of EIT said,
"The response to this competition has been excellent and the online judges have been enthralled by the variety of entries. It just goes to show the number of good ideas and latent innovations that are waiting to be made visible to the people who need them."
"Rail continues to be a very popular mode of transport for both passengers and freight customers, both of whom have high and increasing expectations of a quality experience. This competition is showing that the industry, its supply chain and innovators are ready to meet these expectations."
Richard Stevenson, Product Specialist at Corethree said,
"We are delighted to be shortlisted for this rail innovation competition and to be associated with such a forward thinking initiative. We look forward to the EIT live final on 17th September 2013 in London."
